because apparently my brain thinks chris and darren should have gone to daycare together as children. aka: mia should go to sleep before her brain lets her do things like this. for the sake of this, pretend chris and darren are the same or nearly the same age (4 or 5ish)

Darren likes going to daycare. He likes the toys they have there and the snacks, and he even likes naptime (but don’t tell his mommy that, cause then she’ll make him take naps at home, too). He likes the friends he’s made, and likes all the games they play. He likes daycare.
At first, he didn’t, because he knew that going to daycare meant that he wouldn’t be able to spend all day in his pajamas like he got to do when his mom was home to spend time with him. It was okay, though, because now he likes daycare. They give him animal crackers and don’t get mad when he eats all the heads off before going back and eating the rest of his cookie. He gets to run around outside all recess, and they only fuss him if he tries to jump off the top of the slide. Coloring is fun, and all the girls share their colors, which is nice. And they have all the new Power Rangers toys, and Darren gets to keep the yellow one all week since he helped Maggie clean up her puzzle the other day. But what he likes most of all about daycare is the quiet, blue-eyed boy that plays dress-up and Power Rangers and sits in the back of the class.
